This is a major
responsibility of each and every parent keeping their kids healthy and active
to promote their other normal activities. These are some important things to do
to prevent your children’s illness.
In fact,
you have nothing to do special to protect your kids from sickness. you have
just to take some extra efforts to correct your normal doings for them.
What should you do?
This is the single most useful measure to prevent recurrent
diarrhoea.
2. Manage Boiled/clean Drinking water for all: though useful
for all, it is of particular importance to the malnourished child with
recurrent diarrhoea.
3. Manage full immunization of the child: Tuberculosis,
Diphtheria, Pertussis and measles are all prevented by immunization and are the
diseases that cause severe malnutrition
.
4. Avoid persons with infection, especially with a cough and
cold picking up the child and handling the child or even coming near the child
during the illness. This does not apply to mother but even she should be more
rigorous in handling and more careful in handling the baby.
5. Preventing Malaria: The baby must be arranged to sleep
under an insecticide treated bed net. Malaria can be a major cause of serious
illness of a baby.
As an ideal parent, you must spend some active time with
your children to watch them if anything going wrong with them. You should play
walk and eat with them to observe any weakness, sickness or symptoms at initial
level, if any.
If, unfortunately, your child gets ill, don’t delay the
situation and arrange proper check-up in time whether it is a minor illness or
it’s time to meet a doctor, urgently.
